| Gig Harbor Now is a nonprofit, community-supported, hyperlocal digital publication covering the city of Gig Harbor, Wash., and its surrounding area. We operate under the direction of a full-time editor, with experienced freelance reporters contributing the bulk of the content. We are looking to expand our roster of freelancers with journalists who have solid backgrounds in community news. Familiarity with the Gig Harbor area in Western Washington is a must. We accept story pitches, or we can provide ideas and story leads. Compensation is on a per-article basis and varies depending on the complexity of the story. |
